My therapeutic style is one based on Rogerian principles of empathy, unconditional positive regard, genuineness and congruence. With an original background in Analytical Theories as well as Systems Therapy, as I have matured as a therapist I employ more and more methods of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Frank Farrelly’s Provocative Therapy as well as DBT’s Mindfulness . Relaxation techniques are employed too.
A good dose of humour is always included :-)
I also focus on exploring resilience and enhancing clients’ own inner resources.
Employment Assistance Programmes (EAPs) in the Kaiserslautern area also make use of my services for brief resources-oriented solution-focused counselling.
Further, I also offer counselling when caught Driving Under the Influence of alcohol (DUI/DWI). This ADAPT Equivalency training programme concludes with a certificate that the course has been attended and the topics were compliant with the ADAPT programme for completion of the requirements of reinstating driving privileges after a DUI.
I also prepare English speakers for the German MPU.
I have undergone extensive training through the Veterans Association and undertake C & P Psychological Examinations for Mental Disorders, PTSD etc. for veterans living in the KMC and beyond.
